Is c# copy-cat of java?

Is c# copy-cat of java?

I am new to c#.I just stared c# yesterday.
I found that the concepts of c# are very similar to java.
for example declaring objects in c# are almost same to java.
If somebody knows c,c++,java is it worthwhile to learn c#?
